Biography

I am currently working as a consultant neurosurgeon at AMRI Hospitals Dhakuria since 2018 January I have taken up the course of neurosurgery with a clear knowledge about the paucity of quality neurosurgical care compared to the huge population of our state and lack of many skilled medical practitioners and institution catering to the mass at an affordable rate. I have completed my M.B.B.S training from Manipal College of Medical sciences, Pokhara Nepal in 2006, and finished my internship on 2007 from Ram Krishna Mission seva pratisthan. My compulsory general surgery training was from Ram Krishna Mission seva pratisthan. Joined diplomate national board (Neuro Surgery) in the year 2010 and have been trained for six years at park clinic with my tenure completing in March 2016 under prof. Dr. Sandip Chatterjee and prof. Dr. Manoj k Bhattacharyya. I completed my 6yrs Diplomate national board training from park clinic Kolkata, India in March 2016. Passed my exit exams in December 2017.

Research Interest

I have special interest in pediatrics neurosurgery due to lack of any specific neurosurgeon exclusively practicing in the subset of pediatric and infant cases in my city, and it is challenging with satisfying result if diagnosed and intervened early. My thesis topic was comparative study of morbidity between microscopic and endoscopic Tran’s nasal pituitary surgery and i have assisted in at least 50 such surgeries in last 6 years. I have been trained extensively in performing spine surgery along with cranial surgery
