Biography

Dr. Berra is a Neurosurgeon working at the Department of Neurosurgery, Policlinico Umberto I – Sapienza Università di Roma. His clinical interest and academic studies focuses on Vascular Neurosurgery, Nervous System Tumors, Trigeminal Neuralgia and Spine diseases. He graduated at the University of Milan in 2000, completed the residency at the University of Verona in 2005, and completed a Fellowship in Skull Base Neurosurgical Anatomy in 2012 at the Cornell University of New York. He is a member of the Italian Society of Neurosurgery (SINch) and of the american Congress of Neurological Surgery (CNS). He was awarded by the Italian Society of Neurosurgery in 2006 (Beniamino Guidetti Prize) for a research project on cerebral vasospasm after subarachnoid hemorrhage. He authored and co-authored several articles in prestigious international journals and book chapters. His surgical record exceeds two thousand cases, the majority of cases carried out as main operator.
